Construction zone extended at NOTL

As progress continues on the 13,000 square-foot expansion of the Canadian Food and Wine Institute at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, the construction area has been extended to accommodate key elements of the project.

The expanded construction area is expected to be in place for three weeks, and has been scheduled for a time with limited campus activity to minimize disruption, while ensuring that access is restored for the start of the Fall 2016 term.

During this period, please note:

  • The campus road will be temporary closed near the teaching brewery. “B” Lots will still be accessible via the laneway that extends to the east of the lots.
  • The Greenhouse and Niagara College Teaching Brewery are accessible via south entrances only, and temporary Greenhouse and Brewery parking is available on the south side of the campus road, and identified with signage.
  • There is no internal access to the Greenhouse and Teaching Brewery via the CFWI building at this time – access to these facilities is via the campus road only.
  • Access to the CFWI building during this time is via the main entrance and north entrance only.

The CFWI expansion is a key element of a major campus redevelopment at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses designed to support growth, enhance the student experience and expand Niagara College’s research and innovation capabilities.
