Information for Unemployed Persons

How do I apply for funding?

Inquire about making an application for funding through the Career Planning Service or your local Human Resources Centre of Canada.

If you need skills training to help you get and stay employed, you may be eligible to attend Niagara College through the Service Canada Skills Development Employment Benefits program.

What is the Skills Development Employment Benefits program?

Who is eligible?

Unemployed persons who are eligible for or currently on Employment Insurance (E.I.) benefits, or who have established an E.I. claim in the past 3 years (regular or sick benefits) or the past 5 years (maternity or parental claims).
