This weekend Nicholas Conlon, our 3rd year business student from the International Commerce and Global Development program earned a spot at the 2017 Global X-Culture Symposium in Washington D.C.
50 students representing 21 different countries were chosen out of 40,000 X-Culture participants to compete in a case competition for their corporate consulting challenge.
After a long three days, Nicholas and his group were chosen for the best proposal and won 1st place the competition.
“This would not have been possible without the support from Dr. Navjote Khara, Professor at Niagara College, Dr. Justin Williams, Associate Dean of School of Business & Management and Vivian Kinnaird, Dean of Business, Hospitality & Environmental Studies Division”, says Nicolas.
“I am extremely proud of Nick and his achievements with X Culture” said Dr. Justin Williams. “Nick is an outstanding student, and while I know our team always does exceptionally well under Dr. Khara’s leadership, to win first place really surpassed our expectations.”
Dr. Khara won X Culture best Instructor award in February of this year.
