Welcome Niagara College has embarked on a $90 million Campus Redevelopment that includes significant construction projects at both the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campuses. At the Welland Campus, a 15,000 square-foot expansion to the Niagara Technology Centre is complete, and many other projects are underway or will be soon, including an academic wing, a library and learning commons, a two-storey athletics centre and a student centre. A $40 million Applied Health Institute, funded by the Federal and Provincial governments under the Knowledge Infrastructure Program (KIP), at the Welland Campus is scheduled for completion in Spring 2011. At the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, construction is underway on a Wine Education and Visitors centre that will integrate academic programming, facilities for the unique Niagara College Teaching Winery and an educational centre for students, industry and visitors. The Niagara Culinary Institute will also be expanded. While this is an exciting time for Niagara College and the community, a construction project of this size will require certain contingencies, and will inevitably cause short-term inconveniences and other effects on College operations. Every effort is being made to minimize these effects. This site will serve as the main resource for Niagara College staff, faculty, students and our community as these exciting projects unfold. Your feedback and questions are welcome.
