Board of Governors Members Dean McCann, Vice-Chair 
Dean McCann was appointed to the Board of Governors in September, 2005 for a three-year term and has since been reappointed to a second term. Mr. McCann currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors and Chair of the Priorities and Planning Committee. Mr. McCann is Vice President of Customer Services & Operations, Retail Banking and Membership Services at Canadian Tire Financial Services in Welland. Prior to this role, he has led the CTFS insurance business and served as the Chief Financial Officer for CTFS and CTB with responsibility for financial reporting, planning, forecasting and analytics, finance operations, organizational risk management and facilities operations. Mr. McCann led the project to establish Canadian Tire Bank, which became a chartered bank on June 30, 2003. CTFS and CTB are subsidiaries of Canadian Tire Corporation. CTFS and CTB operate in Welland, St. Catharines and Burlington employing over 1,400 people. CTFS and CTB offer financial services including credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit, insurance and warranty services and mortgage and savings. Mr. McCann is Chair of the Audit Committee for the YMCA Niagara Board of Directors. Mr. McCann is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the McMaster University Chartered Director program. |
