Niagara College Board of Governors Role of the Board of Governors As representatives of the community, the Board of Governors of Niagara College is the governing body of the College and has responsibility for fiduciary oversight and institutional performance. The Board of Governors’ mandate is to govern the College by establishing appropriate governance structures, including setting the vision, strategic directions, overall goals and outcomes, hiring and evaluating the CEO, approving the annual business plan, budget and annual report, and assessing attainment of corporate goals and outcomes and effectiveness of board governance.
