Member of the Niagara College Board of Governors
Colleen Blake, currently a Sales Representative with Niagara-on-the-Lake Realty, served as the Executive Director of the Shaw Festival for 17 years. Colleen’s extensive theatre management career includes 18 years with the Stratford Festival, as well as senior positions with the Young People’s Theatre and the Bastion Theatre Company in Victoria, B.C. In addition, she has served on numerous Boards at the local, provincial, and national level including the Chamber of Commerce and as a past President of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotary Club.
Colleen has been recognized for her contributions to the arts and culture sector with a variety of awards including the Jean A. Chalmers Apprentice award and the Pauline M. McGibbon Award. Colleen, who holds an honours degree in English, was awarded an honourary Doctorate of Humanities from the University of Windsor in June 2004. She brings years of leadership, negotiation, analysis, and customer service to the Niagara College Board of Governors.
