As part of Niagara College’s $65 million Campus Redevelopment project, a complete power shut down will occur at the main campus building and the Canadian Food and Wine Institute (CFWI) building at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus from 6 pm on June 28 through July 2. During this time, there will be no access to the main campus building or CFWI building, and all classes and activities will be cancelled. Construction crews will be working on campus throughout this time.
The Niagara College Teaching Winery, Teaching Brewery and the Niagara College Greenhouse will remain open to the public during this closure. Benchmark Restaurant will be closed during this time.
Operations in Welland are unaffected by this closure, and the campus will be on a regular break week schedule. Enrolment and Registration Services will be available at the Welland Campus and online during this time.
The work has been scheduled during a break week and in the lead-up to a long weekend to minimize disruption (all Niagara College campuses are closed for the Canada Day statutory holiday on Friday, June 30). Campus security will be onsite throughout the closure and can be reached at 905 641-2252 ext. 6999.
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus will resume normal operations on Monday, July 3.
The electrical upgrade is part of the $65 million campus redevelopment project at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses that is modernizing learning environments and enhancing our students’ experience. Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding as we complete these major construction projects.
