Seafood Gala supports student success

More than 680 guests – including business, community and educational leaders from across Niagara and beyond– will attend the Niagara College Foundation’s 27th Annual Seafood Gala at the Fallsview Casino Resort Grand Hall April 9.

Over its 26-year history, the Seafood Gala has raised more than $2.4 million to support student success. Funds raised through this year’s gala will support the purchase of equipment and learning resources, as well as scholarships and bursaries.

“The Seafood Gala is our premier fundraising event in support of our students,” said Niagara College president Dan Patterson. “Thanks to the generous support generated through this event, thousands of students have had the opportunity to pursue and achieve their educational dreams.”

The sold-out event includes a spectacular buffet, live entertainment, live and silent auctions, and is supported by more than 100 student volunteers from a variety of program areas.

The gala’s success is due in large part to major sponsors, including Fallsview Casino Resort (presenting sponsor), Rankin Construction Inc. (admiral sponsor), and The Niagara Falls Review, The Standard and The Tribune (media sponsors).

“We’re proud to mark this year as the 11th consecutive year we’ve hosted this outstanding event,” said Greg Medulun, director Communications, Fallsview Casino Resort. “We share a long partnership with the College; one that continues to see highly skilled graduates join our team and supports continuing education opportunities for our employees through a tuition reimbursement program. We look forward to being a part of this premier event and sharing in the support of the College’s ongoing efforts to provide students with the means to achieve their greatest potential.”
