26th Annual Seafood Gala supports student success at NC

More than 670 business community and educational leaders will attend the 26th annual Niagara College Foundation Seafood Gala April 11 at the Fallsview Casino Resort.

The sold-out gala is Niagara College’s premier fundraising event with more than $2.4 million raised in support of students over its 25-year history. Each year the Seafood Gala raises funds for equipment and learning resources and scholarships and bursaries that support student success.

“The support that we receive through the Seafood Gala is truly remarkable” said Sean Kennedy vice president of student and external relations and the chief executive officer of the Niagara College Foundation. “It plays a significant role in the ongoing success of our students and enhances our ability to provide the high quality innovation-rich educational environment that is directly linked to our regional economy.”

The Gala will include a spectacular seafood buffet live entertainment and live and silent auctions with packages valued at almost $100000 – including a one-week vacation property for 20 people in Turks and Caicos and a dinner for 20 prepared by NC’s own Junior Culinary Team Canada.

Fallsview Casino Resort is the presenting sponsor for the Gala; while The Standard The Review and The Tribune are presenting media sponsors and Rankin Construction Inc. is the Admiral sponsor.

“We’re proud to once again partner with Niagara College to put on this wonderful event in support of its educational opportunities and bursary program” said Greg Medulun director of communications at Niagara Casinos. “Together we have a long successful history of collaborative projects promoting the hospitality culinary and tourism sectors in the region.”
