Niagara College is swinging its doors wide open welcoming in prospective students and the public for a brand new event this month.
On Saturday November 29 Doors Open NC will give the public a rare opportunity to explore the College’s Welland and Niagara –on-the-Lake Campuses.
“In addition to showcasing the work that we do Doors Open NC is a great opportunity for prospective students and the public to get an inside look at our programs and services meet our faculty and staff and experience interactive exhibits and displays that capture the essence of applied education at Niagara College” said College president Dan Patterson. “We welcome guests to visit our Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campuses and see first-hand how Niagara College provides an unparalleled student experience and how a hands-on Niagara College education sets our graduates apart in the world of work.”
Guests will have access to many of the College’s innovative teaching labs and state-of-the-art facilities allowing them to venture into spaces that wouldn’t normally be accessible at other college events. The event will also feature information sessions campus and residence tours and a variety of open labs and demonstrations. Areas including the College’s dental clinic simulated hospital pavilion for Justice Studies Rankin Technology Centre student centres and pubs Benchmark Restaurant NC Greenhouse NC Teaching Brewery and the Wine Visitor + Education Centre will also be open for guests to explore.
To encourage guests to visit both the Niagara-on-the-Lake and Welland Campuses a free shuttle service will be available between the two campuses.
Doors Open NC will take place on November 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
