Support Persons at College Events

Support persons are welcome at college events

Any person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be welcome to all college sponsored events, and will not be prevented from having access to his or her support person while on our premises. For any Niagara College sponsored event, regular admission fees will not be charged to the support person unless otherwise posted. However, please be aware that parking fees will apply to everyone.

For events that are presented by third-party groups who are renting our facilities, there may be appropriate costs charged to support persons accompanying a person with a disability. Please check with the event sponsor for more information on these fees.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome on campus.

We welcome persons with disabilities who are accompanied by a service animal in every area of our facilities, except where prohibited by law. Our staff understand the need for such animals, and are trained in how to interact with people with disabilities who are accompanied by a service animal.

If your service animal is excluded by law from entering an area where we provide goods or services that you wish to receive, we will make every effort to determine an alternate method of access.

Transportation

While the college is not primarily in the business of transportation, we do periodically provide or arrange for transportation services for certain college related functions. In these instances, accessible transportation will be provided (upon request) for persons with disabilities. Contact the coordinator of your particular event if you require this accommodation. Please be aware that individuals are responsible for their own accessibility needs when they are to provide their own transportation.
