In addition, Alumni Relations works cooperatively with the Niagara College Foundation to promote interest in, and awareness of, Niagara College and to seek and maintain funds for the improvement, development and exclusive benefit of the College.

Advocacy

A key priority of Alumni Relations is to advocate for the alumni community as well as encouraging alumni to advocate for Niagara College; a win-win situation.

We advocate for the Alumni community by:

  • Providing Benefits and Services
  • Profiling alumni excellence
  • Ensuring issues of importance to Niagara College alumni are being heard

We are proud of the quality of the education provided at Niagara College and the value of our diplomas. We encourage alumni to be advocates of Niagara College by:

  • Being an ambassador for Niagara College
  • Being knowledgeable about the accomplishments of Niagara College

How we represent the interests of alumni

There are three methods for alumni to communicate with a representative of Niagara College to ensure their needs and interests are being heard.

  • Contact the alumni office directly (alumni@niagaracollege.ca) if the issues related to a specific concern or request of a personal nature (e.g. updating records)
  • Contact a member of the Alumni Council if you have suggestions about alumni related initiatives. The Alumni council meets regularly and provides a forum for discussing new ideas or concerns.

In addition, Alumni Relations coordinates more formal processes for gathering information from the alumni community and ensuring the alumni voice is represented in Niagara College decision-making processes.

Niagara College is one of 24 Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology established under the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act. It is subject to the regulations set by the Government of Ontario.
