Award winning journalist and book author, Murray Brewster, is a senior defence and policy writer at CBC News, whose work has been described as being “infused with humanity”. He has had a ringside seat at history covering 9/11, the London train bombings, six Canadian federal election campaigns, and five-years covering the war in Afghanistan. His coverage of issues facing Canadian veterans led to the improvements in veterans services by the federal government. He is the recipient of Radio Television News Directors Awards, two Atlantic Journalism Awards, a National Newspaper Award nomination, two Michener Award nominations, and the Ross Munro Award.
